In this section of my portfolio you will find samples of my more recent web projects. I've worked with clients of all sizes on a variety of projects ranging from small static sites to interface design for large web applications.
Web design standards and trends are continously evolving and so it is important to keep up with them! The following are a few factors that I always consider when designing for the web.
Usability: An effective website design is built with an understanding of how users interact with the site, how they think and what the basic patterns of users behavior are. The design itself should be simple, intuitive, and easy to use. I strive to keep this first in mind when planning the design of a site.
CSS: CSS based layouts are becoming the new standard in good web design. In my latest projects Ive switched from tables based layouts to CSS. This can be a great benefit to you since CSS is superior to tables in many ways such as: provides faster page loading, allows for quick website updates, allows for smaller file size which in turn uses less bandwith, maintains visual consistency, and the list goes on.
Search engine friendly: It is important to keep SEO in mind when creating a website.
Complete search engine optimization involves many factors such as content, keywords, link popularity, etc, and is generally thought of as being something you to to a website once it is complete. However there are many things you can do while designing a website to ensure that it is well optimized for search engines. I strive to put these into practice in my work.
